Webinar about vital developments in HCHWA-D research

The timing campaign of 'Stop the Katwijkse Disease' in the Netherlands, to motivate people to participate in research, is no coincidence: 2021 is the year of vital developments for everyone who is waiting for a treatment for hereditary CAA. Next Thursday we will tell you about it in a webinar.

The webinar is themed 'The future is now: vital developments in HCHWA-D research'. We will focus on the history of HCHWA-D research, the formation of the consortum and what that means, the new study TRACK DCAA (that will run in the Netherlands and Australia) as a result of the investment by our pharma partners, what participation in TRACK DCAA entails and why this study is essential for future drug trials.

This story is told by Leiden professors Mark van Büchem and Marieke Wermer, American professor Steven Greenberg, the research team in Perth, Australia, and by HCHWA-D family members Sanne van Rijn and Dini Plug.

The webinar is open to everyone and registration is not necessary. With this link you will be able to follow it in Zoom.. The webinar is in English and starts 1pm (GMT+1) in the Netherlands or 7pm (GMT+8) in Western Australia. We will record it for those who would like to watch it at a later time.
