Visiting the Australian Family's

In the passed year Prof. Ralph Martins and Dr. Hamid Sohrabi of the Edith Cowan University have been present at the International CAA Conference in Lille, France, and the CAA Science Day in Leiden, the Netherlands, to connect with the international CAA field, the Dutch CAA Foundation and the HCHWA-D Association. We have been working on developing a research agenda, to work towards a treatment for HCHWA-D and CAA, that is similar on all continents and in all research centers.

In January 2020 Prof. Mark van Buchem and Prof. Marieke Wermer, both working for the Leiden University Medical Center and on HCHWA-D, will be in Perth to visit Ralph and Hamid and also members of the Australian HCHWA-D families. Our ambassador and boardmember Sanne van Rijn and Jolanda Blom- de Vreugd will join them. They will be connecting to the Australian families to find a way to include them in our effort to support people from HCHWA-D families.
