United we Stand: a visit to Perth

The existence of a family affected by the HCHWA-D gene on the other side of the globe had been known to us over at least 10 years, but the idea that we could actually join efforts only grew over the last few years. Last January, Jolanda and Sanne joined Prof. van Buchem and Prof. Wermer in their workvisit to Perth to get to know the research team of the Edith Cowan University, and to meet the Plug family members. Here you'll find Sanne's report on her experience during her visit to Perth and Albany. With special thanks to Johan Plug, who was born in Albany and now resides in the Netherlands, for his translation!
